Embryodynamics is the result of a unique father/son collaboration with more than 40 years of academic expertise with almost 2 decades of IT and business knowledge.

Over the years, Radivoj Krstic has published several books, including an encyclopaedia of human histology. His works include more than a thousand high-resolution, hand-drawn 3D plates of cells, tissues and organs.

Biographies

Prof. Dr. Radivoj Krstic

Prof. Dr. Radivoj Krstic
Radivoj Krstic was born in 1935 in the city of Novi Sad, former Yugoslavia, now Serbia. His father was an oto-rhino-laryngologist and this inspired him to pursue in the field of medicine. After his elementary school in Croatia, high school studies in Novi Sad, he completed his medical studies in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 1961, he became an assistant for the Histology and Embryology Faculty of Novi Sad, then a fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation for the Faculty of Medicine in Kiel, Germany. In 1964, he worked as expert in biology on the development of electron microscopes in Ljubljana, Slovenia before completing his master's thesis as Dr. Sci. med. on the ''Role of the pineal gland in the histophysiology of parathyroid glands''. In 1969, Radivoj Krstic became a private docent and senior lecturer at the Institute of Histology and Embryology, Faculty of Medicine in Lausanne, Switzerland, where he was later nominated Associate professor. He served twice as the ad-interim Director and he was also Secretary General and President of the Swiss Society of Anatomy, Histology and Embryology; Senior Lecturer of scientific illustration in the School of Arts in Lausanne; and President of the Group for Teaching Morphology at the Swiss Society of Anatomy, Histology and Embryology. He has published 4 major reference books translated in several languages and about 200 abstracts, scientific articles, reviews or exhibitions. In 1998, Radivoj Krstic retires from his formal academic life and continues working on computer animations that form the core of Embryodynamics.

Alexandre Krstic

Alexandre Krstic
Alexandre Krstic was born in 1971 in Lausanne, Switzerland. He developed a passion for technology and computers during his high school years and earned a degree in IT Business at ESVIG in 1991. He started his professional career with a Swiss company active in the distribution of Apple products, and in 1998 he joined Dell in Geneva, Switzerland where he held several positions, including Professional Trainer and Senior Training consultant. In 2005, he coded the early prototype of the Embryodynamics engine; in 2007 the first beta version was released to the public; in 2010 the public version of Embryodynamics has been released. With his father, he is the founder of shakok sàrl, the parent company which distributes Embryodynamics.
